“Everybody’s Watching Me” explores the tension between vulnerability and self-imposed performance, reflecting Kayla’s experience of living under constant pressure. This pressure stems both from external expectations and Kayla’s internalized need to uphold a constructed persona. 

By using a distorted image of her own eyes as a reference, Kayla delves into feelings of paranoia, surveillance, and the discomfort of being perceived. Acknowledging that her most intense scrutiny comes from herself, Kayla uses “Everybody’s Watching Me” as a symbol of scrutiny and self-doubt.
